The Atrium clock face
A recording of the Atrium screensaver in motion.

Atrium

A station clock seen from the floor of an empty hall. Light moves across the dial over the course of the day, and the shadow of the hands travels with it along the wall behind.

The architecture is drawn in flat planes, without texture, so the face stays legible at any distance from the screen.

The engine needs a graphics card that supports the system graphics API: Direct3D 12 on Windows, Metal on macOS, Vulkan on Linux. In practice this means two things:

  • a physical machine with a graphics card is required, a virtual one will not do;
  • on Linux the graphics drivers have to be installed and configured.

Installing Atrium and removing it again is covered on the help page, together with what to do when the screensaver does not start.
