The project
Clockness is a collection of 12 clock screensavers. It started as one clock, written to answer a narrow question: what a screensaver should look like on a monitor that is on all day and looked at from across the room. The answer turned out to be a clock, and one clock turned into a set.
Every face is drawn rather than composited from stock parts, and every one carries its own settings, so a clock can be tuned down to something quiet or left as it came. They share one rendering engine, which is why they all need a graphics card that supports the system graphics API and why they all animate at the same rate.
The desktop collection is free, all of it. A paid version may follow later on a different platform; nothing that is free here becomes paid.
