The Earth seen from above the pole, turning once a day against a fixed star field. The terminator falls where it actually falls, so the face doubles as a daylight map.

The calendar ring around the globe marks the current month, and the tick for today sits under the meridian of your own time zone.

The engine needs a graphics card that supports the system graphics API: Direct3D 12 on Windows, Metal on macOS, Vulkan on Linux. In practice this means two things:

  • a physical machine with a graphics card is required, a virtual one will not do;
  • on Linux the graphics drivers have to be installed and configured.
